Well said, Richard J. T. Also, high-end fashion (for either sex) s often ridiculous and challenging – anyone remember Naomi Campbell in those half-metre high red platform boots? How often do you see the latest high fashion creations on the catwalk and think ‘Try running to catch the bus in that!’. So, maybe this is meant to stretch the envelope and provoke debate about ‘sex-appropriate’ clothing – judging by all the comments here, it’s working well! No-one is supposed to actually wear these outfits to the office or building site, anymore than the New Romantic fashions in the 1980’s – they are for fun and fantasy and maybe the occasional nightclub. Many of the styles are based on historic period attire, incidentally. All that said, I don’t like a lot of these outfits, either, but I’m not working myself up into a boiling rage about it.

So generally a “look” is not meant to be worn all at once, and the styling is theatrical, so most criticisms can be dismissed. I had trouble though in this collection picking out even one piece that could be coherently incorporated into a wardrobe.
