If these people would cut down on the parades and bitching maybe
they might be accepted by a few more folks.

Just because you have an opinion about that doesn’t mean you have to state it. I understand your proud to be straight and that’s okay, but others don’t feel that way and it is much better to support them. I understand you have an opinion and that is okay, but I think we would all appreciate a little more respect towards them in the way you say it.

I will never get my head around those conservatives, who want to decide for others, whom they love or whether they want to carry on with their pregnancy whilst stopping at “thoughts and prayers” when school children get massacred.

Try it the other way round. Decide that children should not be shot (and start the required steps) and send thoughts and prayers to those, who want to love whom they love or decide about their own body.

You know, guns don’t kill people. People kill people!
There are hundreds of thousands of responsible and reliable gun owners that you are going to punish with „gun control“
What you need is people control, the kid that shot up the elementary school had many problems and people around him noticed a severe change in him before he went and did what he did.
All it probably would have taken is getting that kid some help… if he didn’t have guns he may have done the same thing but with a knife and a couple gallons of gasoline.
Guns are not the problem, people and indifference are the problem!

      Damn right.
The ammosexual below who bleats on about being “punished” by not being able to own a military grade assault rifle?
If you need that kind of fire power to protect yourself you really need to go to firearms training so you can defend your self with a hand gun or shotgun.
No one is talking about banning ALL guns, just the mass shooting type of weapon.
Ah well, here’s to the next one, thoughts and prayers.\(funny, I’d have thought that by now at least one of these prayers would have gotten through to the sky fairy.

    • Amonynous June 3, 2022

And in your opinion where is the line?
In the USA you have the worlds best IPSC Shooters, they use these „military grade weapons“ for sport, like tens of thousands other people.
By your logic, you must also ban people from owning kitchen knives, chainsaws and motor vehicles.
Each one of these items is responsible for thousands of deaths … but not one of theses things killed a single person, it is always the human factor that does the killing.
And 100% of the time it is indifference by others that allow this to happen.
You cannot convince me otherwise and you do know I am right.
A hammer can’t put a nail in the wall by itself, it needs a human hand to hold it and smash it onto the nail to do the work.
It is not the gun that does the killing, it is always the human holding the gun.
Without a human hand on it, the gun does nothing.
Guns are not evil, people are evil.

      You just don’t get it.
The kids friends, school mates, teachers, parents.
They all saw change in the kid and did, it seems, **** all about it.
I am not saying the elementary school kids were indifferent.
Everyone they interviewed that had some story about the kid changing, they all have some blood on their hand.
If they were so worried they should have intervened immediately.

    • “„military grade weapons“ for sport”
So school shootings are a sport event?

    • Amonynous June 4, 2022

You are reading my comment and you know what I am saying, yet you decide that you want to ridicule and exaggerate.
It is the indifference of the people around the shooter kid that allowed this to happen.
Everyone in these interviews that said the boy has changed and they were scared of him, they needed to do something. Confront him, engage with him and bring him back from that dark place, long before he decided to go be that shooter.
Obviously shooting children is not a sport … you need help, seriously.

      1
    • Anonymous June 4, 2022

Because your position is rediculous. America needs help. And less weapons. Shooting around with weapons of war is no sport.
But outside the observer can only come to one conclusion. America loves guns more than their children.

    • Amonynous June 4, 2022

The problem is prevention: not letting the killer become the killer.
Every one of these shootings is a show of failure of your community and society to prevent isolation, bullying and self harm that eventually turns people into someone that also harms others, suicide by police, etc.

Fugitive murder convict gets a gun instantly, breaks into house, kills family of five. And they tell you there are not enough guns around.

    • Amonynous June 5, 2022

And do you think that fugitive murder convict went to the gun store and legally purchased a firearm and passed a federal background check, something that everyone must pass when purchasing a firearm?
No he did not, either stole it or bought it on the black market.
No criminal will give a shit if the laws are more or less strict.
Stricter laws always only affect law abiding citizens, never the bad criminals you think they will affect.
The failure was that the murder was able to break out and get away.
Prison systems are not well staffed and I bet they could do tons better on employee training processes… once again you are making a point that shows that not the gun is the problem, the problem was the person behind the gun.
Even more so, had either of the adults in that family had a handgun for self defense and the appropriate training, the story would have ended at “armed suspect shot dead when breaking and entering family home”

      2

How stupid you are. The less guns around the less are his chances to get one. Works in every other country on the globe. The U.S. must be the only country where this logic wouldn’t apply. Odd.

“Even more so, had either of the adults in that family had a handgun for self defense and the appropriate training, the story would have ended at “armed suspect shot dead when breaking and entering family home”
Who would want to live in a society where you have to wear a firearm in your own house 24/7? And where a gun is more worth than the life of a child. Only Americans. Miserable.

To the idiot we live in a sad country if our politicians only listen to us at gun point, you are right. In other countries people are put in concentration camps for having COVID. In other countries people are jailed, tortured, or killed for daring to disagree with the government, with no trial. In Venezuela, the inflation rate for 2021 was 684% and people fight over the best trash piles for food and are encouraged to raise rabbits if they are starving and to eat flamingoes. In North Korea, millions have starved and continue to starve. But at least the leadership of those countries don’t have to worry about people with guns. I guess they must be living in paradise!
