Heard that pugs were originally bread to serve as guard dogs in ancient China. They were a medium size, stocky dog. Now with our society and dogs as pets, they were bred to be more “pet-ly”. Snout has been bred so short it bugs the eyes out. Poor buggers, so ugly yet such good companion dogs.
