Land of The Free, Home of The Brave

Under Stalin, repression was so severe that Soviet Gulags held 22% of the world's entire prison population. Just kidding, that's in the United States today.

  4. Why? The war on drugs & 3 strikes you’re out.

It’s time to end the war on drugs and forgive any mamajuana charges as time served.

  5. And yet people are still literally dying to get themselves and their children here, and away from the rest of the world.

  6. Today the U.S. have the highest prison population worldwide. It’s good business to send innocent people to privatized prisons. And easy in a racist arpartheid state.

  9. No no, its all true. America is a terrible horrible filthy place. You’ll die a painful death almost instantly if you come here. It’s awful. Please don’t come. Ever. Theirs no food or fresh water or any cool houses… We’re starting to eat people now and we eat immigrants first. Stay away. For the love of God STAY AWAY! Try Canada 🇨🇦. Justine says everyone who comes gets free every thing. Just pick a house and they toss the family living in it in the street and it’s all yours. Seriously, they do that, it’s messed up. But mainly Don’t come to America. Every American is a gun packing hillbilly who will eat you. Stay away. Please. Oh, and we hate everyone. Every single person on earth, we hate them. We give out the most $ in charity so the people will be fooled into coming here. So we can kill and eat them. It’s all true. Stay far far away.

  10. But is the statistic true?

  11. Hahaha, trying to be satirical but telling the truth.

  12. Much funnier than your usual rant. Well done.

  13. Yep. Stalin killed people instead of putting them in jail. The main difference is that in America you go to jail for being a criminal, whereas Stalin killed you for NOT being a criminal communist.

  14. Well, since the entire, 100% of the population of the United States of America is less than 20% of the world’s population, that’s not just ridiculous, it’s stupid.

  15. The world’s prison population is nearly 11 million, with just over 2 million in US prisons. You do the maths.

  16. Except most of those in jail in the US are in for non-violent, drug related ‘crimes’.

  18. So maybe they should try the Chinese method of crime control. The bullet to the head, the concentration camps. That must be acceptable because I never hear any whining about that. Especially on this marxist site.

  19. lol. Can’t defend it. Changes topic. So sad.

It’s true that China’s prisons are terrible. We’re supposed to be a good example for the rest of the free world though. Not looking so good these days.

  20. You never hear any whining about the Chinese executions and concentration camps? You just admitted to living under a rock.

  21. Biden and the media love them some China. Never a negative word from Hollywood or the NBA or well any company that takes their $ which all of them. China is committing genocide and your whining about Americans. Your hate for the US is strong OB1. Haha. Clowns.

  23. Better than anyone else? NO. Just better than the other 3rd world options that are nearby.

Yes, better than Columbia and Nicaragua. Whoppity damn do.

  24. 1 – We expect America to be better than communists, so the prison stat is surprising. Finding a flaw with your country is not the same as hating it.

2 – I live and vote in America, so at least I have a tiny chance of having an impact here.

3 – China! Mexico! Muslims! Immigrants! Hate! Hate! Hate! Good job. Your leader has really got you feeling the hate.

  26. GOP would love that.

  27. It’s always “the others”.

  28. US are so losing on the global “better scale”.

  29. You nailed it: being better than a 3rd world country makes you better than anyone else (e.g. some banana republics), but not better than everyone else (which includes your favorite, Canada).

  30. Americans don’t hate illegals. They hate paying billions and billions of their hard earned money to support them. We already have to pay for all these “way better countries” military protection so yeah, we’re tired of both types of parasites. We’ve been picking up the check since WWII and it’s getting old. Luckily that’s changing. And all your Monday morning quarterbacking is helping us to change it. You’ll be on your own soon if they have anything to say about it and guess what, they do! Go suck off China for a few decades. No one likes a leech.

  31. lol. Billions and billions for immigrants is sooo bad, but the billions and billions we give corporations and billionaires is totally fine. Nike, Fedex, the NFL…. 36 corporations haven’t paid taxes for years. Elon musk, Bezos and many other billionaires are paying a much lower than average rate. No need to hate on those folks either, but if your concern is about money, you might want to pay attention.

But don’t worry about that. Just worry about those other people you were told to be angry at. Well done. If something is wrong in your life, it can’t be your fault, it’s those other people. Can’t get a good job? I’m sure it’s the immigrants fault. ( even though they don’t have a soc# to legally apply for your job. ) I remember when republicans were all about personal responsibility. So sad.

  33. Those 1% don’t pay taxes at all most of the time. And people like that guy are willing to push more of his “hard earned money” up their fat as*es. (Of course they aren’t fat anymore. Because with good money you can buy good food, a personal trainer and surgery.) The rich are like gods for people like him. He will never reach them but he still hopes he will be among them if he just pushes harder. Delusion.

  35. On the outside it seems America works well – for 1% of its inhabitants. The rest are slaves, drug addicts or imprisoned.

  37. Your right. Slaves and imprisoned drug addicts. All 350 million of us. No one owns the houses and cars and cabins and condos.. there all empty just sitting vacant. And I don’t how we produce and export more food then any other country.. it’s a mystery because what you said nailed it. Thats us. Got any clean needles?

  38. Empty houses? It’s unclear what kind of argument that is supposed to be.
Maximized export and worn out soil while the inland becomes a desert. Good luck for the future.

  39. It was a joke. Your dumber then a bag of hammers.

  40. The most recent data from the National Alliance to End Homelessness puts the number of homeless people at 552,830. There are more than 17 million vacant homes across the U.S., according to the Census Bureau.

Many of the vacant housing units on the market are homes that have been foreclosed and are now owned by banks, according to Business Insider.

  41. A bag of hammers doesn’t even have consciousness. It doesn’t make sense.

  42. Justine is arresting politicians now. Think it’s time you gave your own country some attention. Canada… no free speech and a complete lunatic in charge. You guys rock! Oh wait.. no you don’t.

  43. I looked it up, ten minute inquiry. It was a good thing.
That guy violated covid-19 restrictions, was already fined and was going to do it right again. That he got arrested shows there are no priviliges for politicians in Canada. Those Mounties did well.
In contast to the US. Where you can incite a killing mob and get free because your corrupt senate friends let you walk free. Canada wins.
Of course said politician is the leader of a right-wing populist, climate change denial, racist, “Canada and corporations first” party. When conservatives are not consiervative enough, there are your lunatics.

  44. Of course! Because fascism must be defended at all times. It’s in the Canadian coloring book of rules. Canada 🇨🇦 is a clown country. Everyone knows that. Stop. Just stop. Accept your fate. Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 is a better country.

  46. I vote a straight democratic ticket. Have for decades. But that’s going change now. Biden/Harris is enough to make anyone with half a mind change to an independent.

  47. So are you saying you only have half a mind (brain)?

  48. Stalinist = communist
Nice try at rewriting HIStory you commie sympathizer.

Stalinism is the means of governing and policies which were implemented in the Soviet Union from 1927 to 1953 by Joseph Stalin. It included the creation of a one-party totalitarian police state; rapid industrialization; the theory of socialism in one country; collectivization of agriculture; intensification of the class struggle under socialism; a cult of personality[1][2] and subordination of the interests of foreign communist parties to those of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, deemed by Stalinism to be the leading vanguard party of communist revolution at the time.[3]

Stalin’s regime forcibly purged society of what it saw as threats to itself and its brand of communism (so-called “enemies of the people”), which included political dissidents, non-Soviet nationalists, the bourgeoisie, better-off peasants (“kulaks”),[4] and those of the working class who demonstrated “counter-revolutionary” sympathies.[5] This resulted in mass repression of such people as well as their families, including mass arrests, show trials, executions, and imprisonment in forced labor and concentration camps known as gulags.[6] The most notable examples of this were the Great Purge and the Dekulakization campaign. Stalinism was also marked by mass religious persecution,[7][8] and ethnic cleansing through forced deportations.[9] Some historians such as Robert Service have blamed Stalinist policies, particularly the collectivization policies, for causing famines such as the Holodomor.[7]

  49. Sad story. Devolution by trumpism.

  50. The total US prisoner population in 2020 is roughly 2.2 million (indeed 21% of all the global prison population) or 0.66% with the USA having a population of 330.000 in 2020.

Now, the number of the prisoners of all facilities answering to the GULag (Head Camp Administration – it is an abbreviation of the name of Soviet correctional institution, not the name of prison or labour camp) in the years 1948-1953 (last five years of Stalin tenure) was 2.1-2.4 million people.what with the population of USSR growing from 178 to 188 million gives us 1.17-1.25%.

In other words, the population of the incarcerated citizens in the GULag system alone (there were also regular prisons for people deemed unfit for physical labour, but they housed only a small percentage of prisoners) in the years 1948-1953 was twice as high as the percentage of incarcerated Americans in 2020.

Now, add the fact that from a substantial number of the prisoners during the Stalin’s reign were political prisoners who, from the perspective of any liberal, democratic country such as USA, were completely innocent. Of course, you might agree that some things you can go to prison in USA shouldn’t be crimes (e.g. possession of drugs) but it’s not that a substantial number of people in American prisons are political prisoners, like in USSR in the late 1940s/early 1950s.

So, sure, USA have a lot of prisoners. Every fifth prisoner is incarcerated in American prison. And somehow USSR managed to be far, far worse. The joke’s on you, Uncle Joe.
