  1. She is not the first woman to win a Nobel Prize in Medicine. Tu Youyou recieved the award in 2015. Before her the Nobel Prize in Medicine was given to these women:

    Gertrude Elion, 1988

    May-Britt Moser, 2014

    Tu Youyou was however the first chinese woman, but not the first woman.
