Same Logic

I'm not gonna wear a mask (I'm gonna drive drunk). My choice. And if that scares you, you can stay home.

  1. If you’re wearing a mask, why would you care if I’m not? Your mask works, right?

  3. As has been stated over and over and over, ad nauseum, a mask IS NOT meant to protect the wearer, but to protect the vulnerable people the wearer may spread the virus to. Refusing to wear a mask simply shows how selfish you are because you believe your comfort is more important than the lives of people around you. But go ahead, continue to assert your individual “rights” as more important than those of the community. That’s about as “American” as it gets nowadays.

BINGO. The USA is not a communist country and you don’t quarantine healthy people.

  5. I’m sure cloth will stop a virus that’s so small it can only be seen with an electron microscope. If someone is spraying you with a fire hose, just hide behind a chicken wire fence. You’ll stay dry. Trust me.

  6. But wasn’t it just a little while ago the Surgeon General of the United States was telling me that not only were masks useless, that they would do more harm than good? Surely he wasn’t lying to us, so they could hoard up a strategic reserve or something??? And why are masks a good idea for working or eating at Wendy’s, but not for looting or burning that same Wendy’s??? Our ‘leaders’ need to get their own stuff straight if they expect the people to follow. 💩💩💩

  7. We just installed a chain-link fence in the backyard. It is doing a great job of keeping mosquitoes out.

  8. In short: Your cheap mask doesn’t protect you. You are protected by the cheap masks of others. The cheap masks keep the germs in, not out.

  9. What about standing behind a fence made of 300 chicken wires? Because this is about how thick the mask material is compared to the size of the virus.

  10. The USA have always been an egoist country. Everybody for himself. Greed and envy. United on the surface, but backstabbing is routine.

  11. There are no single viruses crawling out of your mouth and nose. It’s droplets. The virus is transported by droplets you spread while speaking, coughing and so on. Those droplets are stopped by basic masks.

  13. @Dolots, the USA is full of healthy people infecting one another, none feeling a need to protect their neighbors.

  14. Masks are certainly not useless from a biological point of view. But there is a psychological side effect: people that feel protected will take more risks.

  15. Yeah. Lets legalize heroin!

  17. Asserting community rights are above individual’s rights = communism. Plain and simple.

Covid virus is not airborne. So if you wear a mask, it doesn’t matter everybody else don’t. Stop being stupidly paranoid.

  19. … and wrong. Societies only survive because the collective is placed above the individual. Your dream world is a total anarchy.

  20. Anarchy actually is a system that requires (and has) no leaders. It is an utopian dream since mankind won’t turn into the altruistic breed this system would require.

Fun fact: many people completely mix up anarchy and anomie when they “think” (they don’t, do they. They just parrot something without thinking about it) that anarchy equals chaos. No, it does not. Anomie (more or less) equals chaos.

  21. It was pretty obvious right from the beginning of all of this and by now more and more studies proof it, too, that SARS-CoV-2 actually is mainly transmitted via the air. Stop being an ignorant fool.

  22. It will ALL, (virus panic, BLM, rioting, protests etc..), magically go away after the US presidential election regardless of who wins. Watch and see.

  24. @anteater “consensual crimes”, like drug use, are nothing compared to the My Body My Choice murderers. Just because your mother used it while preggers with you doesn’t mean responsible adults can’t handle heroin.

  26. @Anon By observation this is false. People are more aware and determined to keep distance when everybody wears a masks.
That’s why many citizens of countries that dropped the rule to wear a mask demand to make it mandatory again to fight the second wave.

  27. @Anonymous
Stupidity is airborne and transmitted by internet.

  28. We basicly don’t care that much about your US presidential elections. Neither does Covit-19. You are not THAT important. Your elections are usually no surprise.

  29. It is called the Peltzman effect. It would be great if masks are an exception.

  30. It will only magically go away if, and as long as, the voters have the impression that the elected president is going to tackle these problems — unlike the incumbent specimen.

  31. Let’s say people dying of covit will magically go away. To 6 feet under.

  32. really want to ruin you life.. vote biden

  33. Hey EUro, you weren’t surprised when Trump won? I couldn’t believe they elected him. You want to know what else I can’t believe? All the @$#&’in stabbings in London. But like you, I’m not surprised.

  34. It’s hard to believe all this nonsense happening in the US and why so many people are not doing anything to educate themselves about masks, how immune system works, and mainly how the statistics of covid cases are made. How many are actually sick and how many actually die… As someone who comes from the other side of the world, I can say that we also have people tested positive etc, but nobody takes it too seriously, I don’t know anyone who wears a mask or supports wearing a mask, I can’t recall the last time I saw someone with a mask in public. Everyone I know is against masks (except my grandmother because she’s just old and believes only what is on the news). But overall everyone knows this so called deadly virus was planned, and is nothing more than a flu. In many countries life is basically back to normal and without restrictions, although there are still some new positive cases reported daily. It doesn’t mean it is now spreading and people are dying like crazy because we are without masks. Although I don’t care much what’s happening in the US, I am very against forcing people to wear masks! The pandemic is fake and your covid statistics are fake, why the hell should masks be mandatory.

  35. Not exactly. Just because someone is maskless, it doesn’t automatically mean they are sick. On the other hand, if you are inebriated, you are statistically a much greater risk when operating a motorize vehicle.
