Russian Instagramers Flock To a Toxic Power Plant’s Ash Dump Because Water Looks Like Maldives

Recently we featured Instagram Influencers In Chernobyl. Now we encourage you to Search the “ТЭЦ-5” location tag on Instagram, and you’ll be overwhelmed with picturesque shots of bright blue water, couples taking their wedding photos, yoga poses and even a few people swimming in it. But the “Novosibirsk Maldives” isn’t a luxurious oasis, it’s actually a chemical waste dump in Russia. Responding to these selfies, the Russian power company that runs the plant urged people not to go near the water, because it’s heavily contaminated.

  5. What difference does it make? Wodka or toxins. Russians are born with half a brain anyway.

  6. The first woman with the straw hat and bag…. what is wrong with her cleavage? The triangle area between the boobs…. tattoo but why would it just stop in the shape of the bottom of the boob?? weird….

  7. That’s an efficient way to get rid of moron!

  8. do people really still use instagram?
Whats the point of looking at pictures endlessly?

I used it for about 2 years .. posted a lot of stuff, god lots of feedback. Found this and that interesting, watched friends.. but that’s about it. It was pointless and unproductive. I found more information I wanted in simply reading sources or at the very least – youtube.
Never went back there, assumed Instagram is already dying, because of younger exchange tools, like that Toki or whatever where children make music vids (basically Vine plus )

  9. They also get photos taken laying in Trash. Get off the Vodka.

  10. And yet you are here…
