Behold! The world’s first insect influencer @bee_nfluencer has taken to Instagram to make a buzz around an important cause – saving bees from possible extinction.

The mastermind behind all this is the Fondation de France which hopes that bee influencer’s noticable instagram presence will be an incentive for brands to partner up to promote their products. Money generated will then make its way to the organization’s bee fund, and used to finance the rebuilding of habitats, raise awareness, educate people, the impact of pesticides on pollinators, and convert farmers to pollinator-friendly techniques.

  2. These are hilarious.

If they are really trying to save the bees though, they should probably have something that shows just how much of our food supply relies on them.

  3. Bee all you can Bee… literally!

  4. Read about how the Japanese replaced bees with people and increased pollination by 40%. We’re all gonna die! Gets old.

  5. Yeah, I know the Japanese and the fruit that is dependent on their labor. Should we really make it hard on ourselves though? Of the 100 crop varieties that provide 90% of the world’s food, 71 are pollinated by bees. In America, we have problems finding enough people just to pick our fruit, do you really think it would be easy to find people to pollenate every blossom?

I never said we’re all going to die, you did. What gets old is people who ignore issues and hope they’ll just go away. Bees dying off would be a much bigger deal than say, polar bears.

  6. Bees are a lot smarter than I realized.
