Jaysus! Well, at least they tried everything out that didn’t work. Now we know to avoid the same mistakes.

  2. First one isn’t fashion, just some kiwi’s out with their dates. They even wore matching outfits, so cute.

As The Flight of the Conchords (from NZ) sang: Fashion is Danger.

I don’t know what you are moaning about? To me these well dress gentleman lock like a model of elegance, masculinity and sex appeal – how could any women resist?
” I’m too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt. So sexy it hurts… Yeeeaaahhhh!”

  4. No different than now. You could probably do the same type of post about right now.
The twenteens were such a horrible decade…

  5. Bubba and Joe Bob August 13, 2016

Fashions come and go. Me and Joe Bob don’t got no worries about that. We been wearing same stuff for ’bout 50 years. Denim shirts, overalls and military surplus combat boots is good enough fer us. Although, Joe Bob said he wouldn’t mind having one of them nightshirt in the last picture.

  11. Charles Schultz August 15, 2016

Thank gawd we never saw that stuff in San Francisco, at least not out in public!

so those baggy and saggingpants that the morons are wearing today are much better?

  13. Douglas Bull August 15, 2016

In other news, my new screen name is “Douglas Bull”.

  14. I wish these were the worst of it but there was a bigger problem: the ’70s were a horrible time for all fashion, not just clothing. Maxi skirts, midi skirts, and “flared” doubleknit everywhere. Don’t forget blow-dried big hair on men, orange shag carpet, “avocado” kitchens, and cars like the Pinto and the Vega. American taste was in the dumper, even more than usual. It was as if all those drugs in the ’60s destroyed our taste for the next decade. And by the way, Bubba and Joe Bob, I think you misplet “pitcher” in your last sentence.

  15. Can you believe that a decade ago there were teen that wanted my close from the 70’s? Well, at least jeans, t-shirts, and flannels, never go outta’ style.

  16. Thats hall of fame pitcher tom seaver wearing the four green suits!

  17. **** and we thought it looked too cool …
