why would you actually read several books about XML? Usually there are some best authors you learn. All the other books just repeat the same things. (you'd need to read a lot more than in photo anyways) ICanzReadOnlyOneBook (Saturday, 26 Jun 2010)
Are you serious? You believe you can learn everything about XML is only one book? That's laughable. lol Grim (Saturday, 26 Jun 2010)
You can learn all you need to know about XML from w3schools in one afternoon. Nerd (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
If my experience in the Navy and semiconductor industry are any indication, its much more profitable to be social than to be talented. riko (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010)
except if you are really tallented. Seriously (Sunday, 27 Jun 2010)
@nerd wow, the navy AND the semi-conductor industry? Did you get a lot of pussy? I'm guessing not Mullet (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
Why would you pay someone to be a social media "expert"? What they basically do is pitch ideas for facebook-killers and let web devs do all the work. F*** that, let them rot in the swamps of no talent together with American Idol contestants. Donny (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
I worked for a couple of web agencies, the sales team/seo, social whatever, did hardly anything... yet drew the most money into the business and managed to go to the pub for 3 hour lunches. Also paid rather well, but hey its all marketing and advertising and they will burn in hell.... Cordless Guff (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010)
Donny, you sound like the kind of guy we could use in our social media department. anothertest (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
The original http://www.b3ta.com/board/10097448 is better because there is a whole thread of SEO's from all oven England queuing up to show that they really are a bunch of utter cun+s hijack (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
Yup, SEO is a sales job which means it's for people with spikey hair and asses. someone (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010)

I havent read any books on programming or web dev but i am able to programme and debug industrial profile burners and write a good enough website, not bragging at all . Social media idiots only make money by raping the devs hard work . unfair world but someones got to do it Uncle Sam (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
90K, 30K, 10K I make more than a SEO Expert and less than a social media expert. Snickers satisfies. RWW (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
I guess fake money is pretty cool, but why would you want so much of it? CrackerJackPerlApp (Thursday, 24 Jun 2010) Reply
Sad but true. As for people scrutinizing the books in the left-most photo...seriously, people, it's just a pic to get a point across. It just means that you have to study your ass off and learn many different things. Don't take the photo literally. And, as a programmer/developer, take it from me. You won't learn everything about XML with one book. -=LaurryG=- (Friday, 25 Jun 2010) Reply
Sad but true. I can relate, Im a pilot. Im currently doing a masters degree, I have an Airline Transport Pilot License (plenty of books there). Im working my hands to the bone for $49K a year. I should have just been a manager at Maccas or something. BS (Wednesday, 30 Jun 2010)

What a Web Developer Has to Do: Work on Websites by self. What an SEO expert Has to Do: Deal with Web Developers What a Social Media Expert has to do: Deal with Web Developers, SEO experts, and sell crap to 300,000 people with bad spelling, racist status updates and unlimited farmville invites. Duh (Saturday, 26 Jun 2010)
@Rothul: So the Social Media Expert is just like everybody on a forum, only better payed? Also those Web Developers have to deal the other two just like those need to deal with the Web Developers, so... bono (Saturday, 26 Jun 2010)
300,000? Really? Not just convince people that they need a Twitter account when they do not? Boner (Thursday, 1 Jul 2010) Reply
I don't see what the big deal is. A programmer/developer works with the technical aspect of the web, a SEO is usually a douche that can get things done, and a social media expert is the guy who deals with the promotion of a product, has to continually write articles and communicate with a whole bunch of readers and clients. To each its own, if you're better with numbers and code rather than people, you get paid accordingly. Mastuerzo (Thursday, 1 Jul 2010) Reply
have to tell devs what to do, or they do nothing. jajaja, social media, that´s funny. |
