I don't get it.
If you hammer nails into your receiver ir will not work anymore.
Why would I ruin my radio and how does this have any connection to some radio station?
I am so confused. Stop making confusing ads!

The nails block the frequency from being higher or lower than 91.9FM (which apparently is Radio 1's frequency). Get it now?

No, the nails block only that visual detail, that ought tell us which frequency we are listening to. And it has little to do with the electronic part inside, that actually sets the frequency.
Also you are a moron and incapable to understand sarcasm.
yeah, right (Wednesday, 28 Oct 2009)
Sure, Willie! That's why when you reach either end of the end of the spectrum on the radio dial, you DON'T have to turn the knob back the other way. Nothing physical at all! The trons just know what freq to frequent!

The pointer is on a taught cord on pullies, which is wrapped a few times around the shaft of the tuning knob, and connected to a large pulley on the tuning capacitor. Of these key parts, the pointer is usually the easiest to slip on the cord. So the radio still could be tuned (with slight difficulty) even though the pointer would not move in any significant way. But it's just a silly little visual joke in an advertisement.
