LandLord (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) C'mon man, we both know that's just a show-off concept car that will never make to the production line. briedis (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) Well, It may look nice, but it's built quality will suck for sure anyway... Jesus (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) I'll have to argue now, haha... The thing is that Russians may not build it fancy, but they can sure build it durable. It's proved that if that Lada goes head to head with any of the other 2009 cars then the others will be the wrecked ones. Wolfman (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) In Soviet Russia, Car upgrades You! Joule (Wednesday, 14 Oct 2009) If you pop lada_c_geneva.JPG in the Russia 2009 box then the USA 2009 Mustang would be lagging far behind... Mustang 2009 = BMW 1989 A (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) Hey moron Russians don't make Lamborghinis. The comparisons are about vehicles made in the respective countries. Ivan (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) Reply RUSSIA 2009: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia...2/UAZ_Patriot.jpg ...idiots Ivan Sux (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) Yeah Ivan your people strip a 4runner and put a new shell on it and pretend that you are not as worthless as the rest of the world knows you are. Lolla (Tuesday, 13 Oct 2009) At least no one hates them as much as the rest of the world hates USA xD Random (Tuesday, 20 Oct 2009) The sad thing is, Lolla's probably right. russians (Wednesday, 21 Oct 2009) You'd be surprised but over here in good ole' Eastern Europe, Russians are as hated as ever. :) Kris2 (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) Reply Yes, new grill and better head restraints on the seats. Progress, always progress. jfy (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) Reply russia 1978 car will live longer than Japan/USA/Germany car 2009. it sounds crazy but it's a fact. briedis (Saturday, 10 Oct 2009) Bullshit :) Recently even the manufacturers announced, that their car quality is very low. m2acis (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) If this is true, then its true regardless of car manufacturer and any old car will live longer. It would be more appropriate to compare lifetime of two cars manufactured in 2009. The effort needed to keep this car alive for long time is also a thing to consider. tnt (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) In ussr everyone drove Lada or something because they a) couldn't afford other cars, b) the country policy restricted import of cars Lada will live longer than other cars? You mean average russian will always be poor? al (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) You didn't include Italian cars not to put yourselves in shame? :) RussianTradeDelegation (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Made for export market. Interested? Jeremy Clarkson (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Yeah id like one for my show please. Ladahater (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply Sad but true. If those manu-fuc-turers did not have governmental dotations, they would've been gone for good long ago. They just don't bother. slobotnik (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply I prefer the 1978 designs in every one of these pictures. Except the last, naturally. The Truth (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply Hey Russians are stylistic! http://craziestgadgets.com/wp-content...06/dragoncar1.jpg Ya Goveru poruski! Stomp (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Are you retarded? Atr (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply This just shows that already in 1978 Russians been producing high quality cars which even in 2009 are just as good ^^ Golio (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply And that just happens to be one model which didn't require change... GG. Rest of car industry are well upgraded. RWW (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply Until I saw the last pictures, I assumed this was making the point that automakers are incredibly unoriginal and have been forever. So, I guess you can at least say that the Russian car is unique in a way. P8 (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply Cmon, everybody knows those Russians love death and use all their time and resources to improve weaponry instead of cars or civil rights IQTest (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Now everybody here knows how little you know. ;) George Bush (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply I looked into Putins eyes and i saw a reflection of 1978 Lada there. Lolla (Tuesday, 13 Oct 2009) LOOL ahahah SoanoS (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply Left car = Lada 2105, years 1981-1984. Right Car = Lada 2107, years 1982-present. Could at least have used a 1978 model car for the left photo. Lada cznica (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply wow, in the Soviet Russia they made their cars way ahead of its time lol (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply we all know that lada is a copy of some old fiat... this model is improved with some stylish rectangular lights. tnt (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply actually There are some new designs on Russian cars , check out other Ladas or Njivas (jeeps) or Volgas .. however there is one drawback - even though russian cars are cheap as hell, they are very unreliable. I'd prefer more expensive German analogue rather than russian car. Also, check out one of the best russian cars - Chaika http://www.englishrussia.com/images/oldtimers1/chaika5.jpg Too bad they don't produce them anymore. Nice design McLupus (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) tnt; They tested thatone on TOP GEAR, and it was RUBBISH!!! It couldn't turn, lousy on the straights, the only real good thing was the size... (but not inside the city...) Therearefourlights! (Tuesday, 13 Oct 2009) Nice stretched '59 Chevro-tiac. And to think, it only took them 50 years to copy it. All formed from lovely, salt-impregnated Polish steel of only the highest quality. zhopa (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply (quote from The Simpsons) "How many litres per hectare does it get?" Notmyrealname (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Reply Man! This started off funny until the Americans started whipping out their collective penae for size comparison. The Cold War's over, ladies. Not a Eurotrash. (Sunday, 11 Oct 2009) Don't make remarks that you can't back up little gire. Notmyrealname (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) Wrong again, sweetie -- I'm just a little North of you. C'mon up, and after I finish teaching you how to spell and show you the difference between a college and a university, I'll back it up for ya. And if yer not careful, I'll come down and burn your capitol again. [:DDD Time to take out the eurotrash (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) Anytime poof! You'll be going home in a pine box. AnonAnon (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) Reply Must admit - the USA one, didn't udnergo much change. Japanese obviously win, as they do at everything. Germany is totally cool. Russians, - whoever made that pic, could have at least used a different car as an example. there are cars that actually went through quite a change in looks and performance. Mr Crab (Monday, 12 Oct 2009) Reply At least the Lada hasn't gotten any uglier, unlike all the other 2009 shit.. boo-hoo (Tuesday, 13 Oct 2009) Reply the sad part is that too many people have moronic stereotypes about russia, even though all they know about it is what they've seen on movies... Joe the Farmer (Tuesday, 13 Oct 2009) Really? Your going to say that WE have terrible stereotypes of Russians, and we only know Russia through Movies and TV? Shut up, your ignorant shit, 90% of you on here who bash the USA have A) Never Met an American in person or B) Have never traveled to the States. Although I am not arguing that there are some morons who are stereotypical **** heads in the States, but your comment is just as contradictory. Soooo long story short, suck it Ruskii. 2+1=21 (Tuesday, 13 Oct 2009) Reply compare the price. how manny Ladas will u get for the same amont you will spend on the other car. Ill bet you get a one car for every week day+ it will never get stolen. mechanic (Thursday, 15 Oct 2009) Reply only one car here needs a truck jig to straighten it after an accident, its that rigid, guess which. K9 (Thursday, 15 Oct 2009) Reply The East German Trabant is making a comeback as an _electric_ car. Unlike the Lada, this has a chance because of the German government's backing and strong "green" movement, even amongst the right wing parties. Also unlike the Lada, the Germans are nostalgic for the return of the "Trabi". And we all know how well Germans make cars.... http://www.4wheelsnews.com/new-traban...ver-in-frankfurt/ If you want to see a rare Lada worth watching, watch the World Touring Car Championship, where the "Russian Bears" team has been scoring a number of points in a Lada Priora, albeit with an Opel (German) engine. The chassis has to be at least decent because they've been competitive all year, and the cars are essentially the same as road cars you can buy. http://www.fiawtcc.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Bears_Motorsport LOL (Friday, 16 Oct 2009) Reply c'mon this argue is pointless!!! This is just the joke, it is clear that all countries develop... I agree the old Russian cars are ridiculous, but I still like them!! http://avtosaitt.ru/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/lada.jpg Russian lada 2009.. K9 (Saturday, 17 Oct 2009) That green car is a Lada? Either it's a fanboy's photoshop job, or Lada are ripping off the design of the 2009 VW Scirocco. http://driverscorner.files.wordpress....o-2008-743809.jpg Simon (Monday, 16 Nov 2009) VW Iroc is not a russian vehicle, dumbass! reinis (Friday, 16 Oct 2009) Reply actually that russion 1978 model Lada 2105 is still in production, so the same picture should have been put on the right side. Anyway the russian auto industry still exists only because of the abnormal taxes for the imported cars. überRegenbogen (Monday, 16 Nov 2009) Reply The '78 Beemer is the best looking of the lot. Though the little ruskie sedans (which both look mid '80s) are cute. |
