TO "@John" : the sales pitch for the "for-Leftist-suckers-only Prius" is hyped as a *hybrid*, as opposed to a typical gas-only vehicle. Now, with just *what* other than gasoline is the Prius powered, to make it worthy of the Green-Cr*p Hype?!? A BATTERY, you backside-methane-powered imbecile.

OK, you uneducated ******: prius' primary source of power is petrol engine. Batteries and EM are *secondary* source and are CHARGED by petrol engine. OK? YES? So, prius runs out of fuel first it does not drain its batteries and just stops!!!! Read something, you spasm inducing kreten!

@ Hat - Not only *that*, but Lefties think the "electricity" for the Prius comes from a wall socket...JUST LIKE milk comes from the grocery store! Leftists never make the connection about where all that new electricity demand must come from: coal, oil or nuclear plants. Heh.

In Australia we have essentially free tertiary education, the cost is shifted onto tax debt and you don't have to pay that back at all (as in never) unless you start earning over a certain amount, to top it off the government pays half of that debt anyway. There is greatly subsidized healthcare for all that need it. You can get private health insurance regardless of any pre-existing conditions (with some limitations) at a reasonable price. Our minimum wage is one of the highest in the world.
So if you say "Obama voter" as meaning a left leaning voter then hell yes, I am studying tertiary education and have health insurance I probably couldn't have got in the US until "Obamacare" came in.
Oh and before you say that this all must be bleeding the government dry, Australia was one of the few western countries (perhaps only) to avoid the recession a few years back, that originated in the US because of Bush!
Also the term that roughly equates to red-neck here is bogan.
