Candy? they look like chocolates to me. Americans tend to lump everything under one descriptive word. In the UK we have candy but it's a specific type of sweet confectionary.

As there are other types of candy that will be reduced in price your narrow minded perception is inaccurate.

In 'merica we don't use the queens english!
USA (Friday, 15 Feb 2013)
I would rather be inaccurate in a generalization than boring in undue analysis of the picture, which you are. Get over it!
'Merican (Friday, 15 Feb 2013)
Enjoy your jellied eel and kidney pie, and all that other really great British cuisine.

What ever. It works for me.
Yo (Friday, 15 Feb 2013)
It's steak and kidney pie, actually...

Chocolates are a subset of candy. Feeling a little less confused now, genius?

Are you guys always this mad at someone that knows more than you?
LogiC (Saturday, 16 Feb 2013)
No I would have to agree with ME. In Australia we don't really use the word candy but would associate it with kids lollies/sweets. Those are chocolates and to describe them as candy would be weird.

In North America, candy is a broad category that includes candy bars, chocolates, licorice, sour candies, salty candies, tart candies, hard candies, taffies, gumdrops, marshmallows, and more

Typical self-righteous Brit. Maybe you should just accept that different regions of the world have different slang, cultural traditions, style, terminology.
Chocolates are candy. You mad?
