I don't know whats all this stuff about the tablet. I hhad one when I was in grade school - several infact. "Big Chief" tablets were in use long before Gates or Mr Apple were born.

First pad the Apple Newton. A great idea ahead of it's time and unfortunately way ahead of technology. Steve vowed not to return to tis original plan until the technology including things like stronger glass for touch screen were made available. When he did he did he did it in the superb Apple fashion. So in reality we must say Apple inventor and eventual perfecter. Those tablets Bill is in front of sure look chunky junkie In a Microsoft fashion don't they!

tablets are a step back in mobile telephony and it is not great now and never will be great. Apple screwed you, the customer, because instead of shitty tablets, they halted the mobile phone progress by decades. I know very well how a business works. They never play their best cards, if it is possible to drag out the success (hence you can expect iphone 3,4,5,6,7,8, even though they could have made it superfast to begin with. I think Samsung could have manufactured superfast phones for Apple to sell back in 2000 already). I remember back in the day Nokia had these superthin elastic and 3d phone illusions. We could have had it now, but tablets and all this shit halted the innovation and turned to quick buck. It would be ok, if we knew the profits would be reinvested into reearch, but we know they aren't. All profits do is make some ****** buy his 10th Ferrari.

Problem is...anyone claiming Apple "perfected" the tablet/smartphone with the first iteration is drinking Apple's koolaid. Go use the 1st gen iPhone/iPad (remember the rez was 420x320 and 1024x768) with single core processors and a worthless built-in camera. Even at the time they were released, they weren't "perfect" (or even now). The iPhone 4 dropped signals if you put more than 3 fingers on it? Did they forget what the iPHONE is supposed to do originally?....the PHONE part of 'iPhone"? Perfection claimed by a bunch of asshats...
