Also, once they throw your potentially explosive bottle of water in the garbage at the security checkpoint along with all the other potential explosives, everyone at security becomes completely safe.

Guys, they tell you to do that so that if something containing a liquid opens or breaks, it doesn't get all over the rest of your stuff.
