Here’s a thought… if Vegans ate Venus Flytrap plants, would they be eating meat by proxy?

    • Now you should also cite some statistics on how many Spiders creep into your mouth in your sleep during your lifetime. With this kind of argumentation, technically noone is a vegetarian,

Vegans are so dumb, probably the VFT would eat them.

      False.
Spiders do not crawl into your mouth.

Even without eating carnivorous plants, vegans kill plenty of animals by proxy. Crop production kills tons of field animals and insects through the initial destruction of their habitats, through regular ploughing and tilling of the fiels, and of course through the use of toxic chemicals such as insecticides (organic insectides in case of organic farming, but poison is poison). It is entirely possible that a diet of grass-fed cattle causes less individual animal deaths than eating crops.

Actually, I meant to be sarcastic. Well written article, though. :)

It’s all mind over matter. I tried going vegan for one month and started feeling more tired and sick.

    • Anonymous May 18, 2014

I went vegan 10 years ago. I feel fine. Really, any more tired old excuses?

    • I tried to avoid meat for one week. Got nosebleed soon after…

    • Sir Crazy May 18, 2014

@Anonymous that is exactly why I say it is mind over matter. You perceive it as healthy for you and thus it worked for you. I perceived it as a nightmare and it was a nightmare.

    • More like, different people have different metabolic needs, and different diets keep them healthy differently. Some people do well as vegans, others don’t.

“Being vegan obviously makes you better than everybody”

  5. People should respect others decision to eat fake or real meat.
    It doesn’t affect them.
Whether or not I choose to eat real or fake meat isn’t going to have an impact on your life. Unless you make it have one. And then it’s your fault.

    • Inglorious May 18, 2014

With that attitude it obvious you’re vegan

    • Sir Crazy May 18, 2014

I have no problem with ppl’s dieting choices. The problem is the attitudes of some vegans and meat eaters that like to gloat that their dieting is superior to others. However, I’ve found the vegans in that category to have a more snobbish attitude as if it’s a trend and if u not with their trend then u can’t be their friend (holy crap that’s a nice rhyme).

This indeed. Why should anybody care about what some other person is not eating?

  6. aaaandanotherone May 19, 2014

    ok.

  7. As A. Whitney Brown once said, “I’m not a vegetarian because I love animals; I’m a vegetarian because I hate plants.”
But I prefer the words of Jim Gaffigan: “I recently became a vegetarian… I’m not a strict vegetarian, I still eat beef and pork. But not fish, because it’s disgusting.”
